The Gong/Acid Mothers Temple axis of live.
Now what's all this is about! Tis but the shock of the new, if you want to be 'shocked' that is. People of all sizes and dimensions contact me and say things like, "Wow it must have been fantastic to be around when Gong created and were first playing 'Camembert Electrique'", or "What must have been like to see daevid and Gilli perform live at Le Vieille Grille in '68?".
I simply believe that the AMG gigs - such as the infamous/legendary RFH affair, and their recordings - are as close to experiencing that creative cauldron as you are going to get. So when you you find yourself marvellously 'challenged' by the AMG, and there are some challenging, as well as sublime things on this CD - well there you have your answer to those familiar time-travelling questions.
"This is very very great. Acid Motherhood x 100! Wild, free, energetic and totally captivating. The sound is magnificent. The music is crazy, unpredictable, adventurous, raucous and delightful. I can't find the good words to describe it in English, but well… I simply LOVE IT very much." - Benoit
"Excellence and brilliance! Gong is alive and right where it should be. If there were any sense at all in the world this would be Number 1. Be alarmed and enchanted, Let There Be Cheese Rock!" - RQ
And there's more coming! Acid Mother's Gong 'Live in Tokyo'
