Robert Wyatt Banana Moon on LP Snapper didgi-pak reissue w/booklet. Originally released in 1970, Daevid's first 'solo' album is a kaleidoscope of wild musical ideas. From 'Memories', hauntingly sung by Robert Wyatt, to the long totally tripped out adventures of 'Stoned Innocent Frankenstein' it's going to to flip you right out of any musical conservatism you may have settled into, even after all these years. There are no bonus tracks on this reissue, which is now the cheapest way to buy this album. I don't know what the sound quality in like yet, it will have been tweaked a bit I trust. There's a new 12 page booklet with 6 pages of history and reproductions of Daevid's original LP notes. Well it looks good and it is cheap, but I must say, when comparing the two, the Spalax version sounds brighter and better. But as supplies af the Spalax version are intermittent at best, and will I imagine disappear altogether soon, this will be the only CD version available. Note: Unfortunately the musicians can expect no royalties on sales or publishing from this release. The only way they benefit in any way from sales this CD is if you buy it here.
