If you ever wanted to discover just what Brian Abbott, Nigel Shaw and Carolyn Hillier get up to in Global (represented here by different mix of the album track, 'Small Stone') or wondered why Seize The Day are the one of the most revered of agit-prop outfits then here is the perfect opportunity. The Space Goats are wonderful, Nik's All Stars way out there, in fact twinkly pixiedust abounds throughout. All of the tracks are studio recordings donated to support the Big Green Gathering and the CD was released in 2000. It is a selection of the bands who played at the 1998 Gathering and listening to it just makes me look forward hugely to this year's event. I would even venture to say that the chances are very high indeed that somewhere on this CD there is a band destined to become one of your all time favourites - so what are you waiting for?
