Within Gong it flowered and became an intergral part of the band's sound in the mid '70's. After parting from Gong the Crystal Machine continued to develop. Tim really was an innovator with the synth and laser shows with Patrice Warrener in the late '70's. As the album has been unavailable for a while Voiceprint's reissue of this classic first solo CD from 1977 is most welcome. It's sparkling sweep still has the power to dazzle and amaze.
