Simply a geat album - why I didn't expect that I have no idea - silly old me

Love the Hawks? - you will adore this. Love Gong? - you'll probably be mightily impressed with this. A very good album that sort of often exists in the middle ground between Hawkwind and Gong - a very fine place to be of course. I think this may be one of the best things Nik has ever been involved with - and that's saying something.

It's 'old' Hawk, but at the same time 'no' Hawk. It acknowledges where they've all come from without being tied to the past. It honours Robert Calvert. It's great fun, it's got the 'vibe'. It's what happens when a group of creative individuals form a band and go for it. What more can I say? Great production, atmospheres, melodies, tempo changes, themes, lyrics, playing, oh, and great heart. Oh screw it, just get to hear it somehow you'll love it. No 'space-rocker' should be without it

Space-rocker, what's a Space-rocker? Rock-hopper - that's a bird, Space-hopper - a big orange bouncy thing, mods and rockers?...I digress into gibberish in the face of the sonic shock waves that are Space Ritual.

Actually I think what I like at the heart of this album is it's intent - it's dead honest, good fun. You can't actually hide the intent of an album, it leaks through. We all know what's what.
