Year of Gong's 25th Birthday Party (Oct), Shapeshifter Gong Italian Tour (Sep) - I looked in the room and there was no-one in it - well only a couple. More info soon.
September '94 - Shapeshifter Gong Italian Tour? - Daevid, Gilli, Steffe, Pip, Keith & Rob Calvert.
October '94 - Gong's 25th Birthday Party gigs. As near a 'classic' Gong line-up as we could manage (Steve didn't want to/couldn't do it but sent a nice note to assembled masses, Pierre lunched out/couldn't get away from his tour) headline two full days of celebration. Also appearing on both days were Shapeshifter Gong, Here & How, Planet Gong, Tim Blake solo, Didier's Fluvius, Kevin Ayers (solo and with Daevid, Hugh Hopper, Pip), Shortwave, Lady June and Jay Fisher (who?) - an artist on Mike Howlett's then label, Mauve. The UK Invisible Opera Co. of Tibet kicked of Saturday and Kangaroo Moon did the same on Sunday. Total hero of the weekend is Pip Pyle who played with 4 or 5 different bands each day.
