The year begins dedicated to the launch and adventure of a brand new Gong band, <you'N'gong> which features two members of the Japanese Acid Mothers Temple, two members of the original Gong, daevid and Gilli, Josh Pollock from the University of Errors and two young Australian recruits, daevid & Gilli's son Orlando and Dharma. The touring year ends at the Royal Festival Hall with a controversial gig with the Acidmothersgong band. In between were University of Errors European Tour (May) joined by Here & Now for UK Tour (mid-May) then UofE finish UK Tour (Jun), Daevid teaming up with Makoto and Cotton as Guru and Zero (Jun) and Planet Gong celebrating the Solstice with a gig on the Isle of Wight (Jun). Gilli also gigs with Gong Matrices in the States.
February '03 - Makoto and Cotton and Josh Pollock travel to Australia for an improvised gig (within hours of arriving) and 3 weeks of recording sessions in Byron Bay for a planned <you'N'gong> debut album. The strong and streaming sessions are not the easiest but result in some very powerful music - the tight schedule however prevents a completed album being finished.

September '03 - Daevid returns to Australia to shape and mix the <you'N'gong> sessons from February into the new (now) Gong album. The finished result is 'Acidmotherhood' released in March '04.
October '03 - A wild one-off Gong band performance splits the audience straight down the middle with one of the craziest and most challenging Gong gigs for years.
