Beautiful music - beautifully told tales.
The first Mother Gong album from 1979 is a mixture of mythological tale spinning by Gilli, who expertly evokes the right atmosphere throughout, backed and enhanced by some fabulous music composed by Harry Williamson and played by many old friends (anyone who loves Didier's playing is in for a real treat!).
In so many ways this album leads perfectly on from the last track on Gilli's 1978 'Mother' album, the tale of Taliesen. And there are enough melodic ideas and good music of a Mother Gong, Gong, Caravan-ish vein to fill several albums. So you and your children will like this one.although they do love it.
Note: Unfortunately, the only way the musicians will benefit in any way from sales of this release is if you buy it here - otherwise they can expect no royalties on sales or publishing.
