The guru of anti-gravity theory and machines, an ex member of Eat-Static, and a Song Siren. What could be better!

By turns otherworldly, inspiring, humourous and rather beautiful. One of projects Joie Hinton has been closely involved with since he decided to call it a day with Eat Static is this wonderfully strange and endearing release. I developed a soft spot for it at first listen and was delighted to be asked to be involved in it's greater dissemination. On a grey day it made me smile in a most enjoyable way…but how to describe it?

A very enjoyable a mix of Joie's synth music, Deborah's beautiful songs (beautifully sung) and the voice of Professor Searl himself who's speaking parts come out of the mix like some kind of mystical Prof. Stanley Unwin (overseas readers may have to Google Stanley Unwin). Prof. Searl is most obviously an elder of our tribe (and we do need more of them), an individual walking his own path, and someone to be cherished. The whole project has been inspired by his work, which this release designed to support and perhaps help gain a wider audience for.

Deborah and Joie's InVerse Gravity Vehicle web-site has a good sample of the first couple of tracks and the general vibe of the CD. And www.swallowcommand.com is the site of the Professor himself and has more information on his work. But of course a good old Google will also reveal a huge amount about inverse gravity.

Currently just 100 copies of this unique CD have been pressed. More may well made in the future, but there's no guarantee of that, so if you are intrigued…
